Number Talks

Number Talks are how we begin our math lessons in The Golden Eagle's class. Students are presented with a problem and have time to think of all the different ways they can solve it. They are given the opportunity to talk about it with a buddy on how they would solve it and listen to other for ways of doing it. Then, we call students to come up and give it a try at the board and explain their strategy to the class. We keep sharing and demonstrating the different strategies, provide feedback and reflect on our problem solving skills.
