Construction of our Innovations

The Golden Eagles were fully involved during their final assessment project. Students were connecting and collaborating, communicating their thinking using scientific language.
These students were writing up their plan and hypothesis for their innovation.

Students chose from a variety of materials to construct their Rube Goldberg projects. They had to problem solve in a variety of ways.
Check out this girl's plan! She wrote out steps and illustrated them through step-by-step pictures.
These boys tried a variety of ways to figure out the best angle for their ramps to get their ball into the cup. They were successful too!
This hard working student wrote out his plan very clearly and diligently.
Dominoes were a great tool to create a chain reaction of force and motion.
This innovation made of Legos was fun to watch and test out in a variety of ways.
These students planned and constructed this innovation to be an alarm to wake a person up from sleeping. It took many tries to make it work, but they persevered.
We made a giant mess in the classroom but the students were so wonderful in cleaning up.

It was great fun to watch classmate's contraptions work successfully.
This innovation was the most professional looking one!
I believe the students will remember this project for a long time since it gave the students the opportunity to be open and creative. As a result, they were full-engaged learning and have fun together.
